STORY
The author of brand MARINÁ is originally a graduated historian. At an advanced age, she decided to do an experiment. After years of “consuming” art, the author enrolled herself in fashion design studies at The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, in order to try creating her own art. In 2018 she graduated with a fashion show presenting her collection Pastel Metamorphose, which turned out to be a major success.
She continued to experiment, which led her to unleash creativity with design. It is precisely this creativity that the whole brand is based on. She finds inspiration in Slovak, as well as global art, in painting, in conceptual art, in sculpture and in literature.
The designer strives for maximum variation, playfulness, and comfort in wear while maintaining a minimalistic feature of the brand. In the year 2019, the designer was nominated for the Best Fashion Graduate award.
Until present day, her collections were presented at the Bratislava Fashion LIVE!, Košice Fashion Week, Bratislava Fashion Week, and at MQ Vienna Fashion Week.
